Ashwani Rural medical college is the only private college in the Solapur district. The college is been affiliated to Maharashtra Institute of Health Sciences, Maharashtra. The college foundation has been set up by the M.M. Patel Public Charitable Trust. After the approval granted by the Government of Maharashtra the trust has been able to start the medical college. The college is accredited by the National Medical Commission, New Delhi. There, the college faculty strives to educate students so that they can benefit mankind through their healing hands. Students are trained to observe medical ethical standards on how they diagnose disease and treat disease.

Admission and Infrastructure
The hospital and college are located on a shared campus. The teaching hospital includes 300 beds. Equipped laboratories and large lecture halls are one of the necessary infrastructure. The teaching staff comprises of reputed medical professionals. College admissions are carried out in accordance with the NMC standards. The qualifying examination to get into medical college is Asso CET. The entrance exam is managed by Association of Private Unaided Medical and Dental Colleges. The examination is carried out during the period of April to June. Candidates should possess a minimum of 50 marks in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English at the higher secondary examination and NEET qualified to apply for admission into undergraduate medical courses. Candidates must first be at least 17 years old before applying to university.

The well-equipped library of the college includes 10984 books. The well-furnished hostel rooms offer facilities of twin sharing. There is Wi-Fi facility in the rooms. Common recreational and drawing rooms have been made available to the students. Water and electricity are available round the clock. Study tables are cozy since they are based on today’s designs. Laundry facilities are available to the hostel students. The hostel includes a separate room for visitors. Water is supplied in the hostel by solar power.
