JJM Medical College is under affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Health Sciences. It is located in Davangere, in Karnataka. It was founded in 1965 and trusteeship is on a permanent basis. MBBS, MD, MS are offered by this college. Duration of MBBS is of five and years. For the past 12 months of this course internship is the only focus. For MBBS, there are a total of 245 seats. An academic year is divided into two semesters. Curriculum of these courses has approval by National Medical Commission. In addition to these diploma courses, students are also accommodated.

Four teaching hospitals of 2900 beds linked with this college are here. These hospitals are equipped with state of the art equipments and serve the local population. Students are required to pass a course of examination as part of the curriculum. At the college there are strict regulations for passing scores, attendance, and internal exams. Admission Procedure
An applicant wishing to apply for admission to this college has to reach 17 years of age on or before 31 December of the admission year and year of the course of study. Qualifying the senior secondary examination or something equivalent to that of an accredited board is compulsory for students. A student must have a minimum 50% marks in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English in Higher Secondary Examination, and a NEET Qualified before applying admission in an undergraduate medical course. A copy of the students’ passport is mandatory for NRI students. Students applying for admission to MD or MS course need to have MBBS passed from an college or university recognized approved by NMC. Postgraduate course requires that one obtain one year of internship in a hospital.
Fees and Infrastructure
The annual fee includes college fees and other charges. It amounts to about Rs. 5,50,000 per year. There are several lecture halls equipped with audio visual equipment. There area total of 5 hostels, to accommodate students. There are two hostels for boys and three for girls. These hostels provide basic facilities like food to students.
Facility of Library
The university has a very big library with a capacity of about 1500 readers at one time. There are separate sections for undergraduate, postgraduate and faculties. Yet another newest component of the existing library is the digital one, which is equipped with internet and has a variety of terminals for students. The library also has provision of multimedia projection, slide shows, overhead projectors and other audio visual aids.
