Katihar Medical College is located in Katihar, Bihar and was established in 1987 by Al-Karim Educational Trust. The college is affiliated to Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University and is affiliated to the National Medical Council. The college offers a five-and-a-half-year undergraduate course in medicine. Students are awarded MBBS after completion of internship and exams. The college intends to impart education in medical sciences to Muslims. As part of the course, students are required to complete a one-year internship in the final year of the course. There are 100 seats available for MBBS course. The academic year for these courses is divided into two parts, each semester consisting of 120 days of 8 hours.

Process of Admission
While admission, majority of the seats are reserved for Muslim network, and some other 15 percentage of seats is for NRIs. And the rest is for college students from fashionable category. To sign up to these MBBS route, college students want to pass their senior secondary exam or equivalents from a diagnosed board. You need to have minimum 50 % marks in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English in better secondary examination and NEET Qualified to are seeking for admission in the undergraduate scientific publications.
