Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, widely known as MGM, was established by the India Education Trust in the year 2000. Situated in the vibrant city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, the college is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). It offers an MBBS program, along with a range of other paramedical courses. The MBBS course spans five and a half years, with the final 12 months dedicated to internship. The college allocates 100 seats for the MBBS program, while the number of BSMS course seats is capped at a maximum of 150, in accordance with the college’s guidelines.
Overview of the Hospital
There is 830bedded hospital attached to the medical college.The hospital works to give world class medical services to the community in catchment area of the hospital. There is an 24 hour working emergency service and a trauma centre. An in-24 hours ambulance unit is also available at the hospital. There is a registered blood bank on site and there is an ICU having 44 beds. There are ten operation theatres equipped with ultramodern facilities. There are various testing laboratories in the hospital for various departments, for example Microbiology, Biochemistry, Radio-diagnosis, and Pathology.Post mortem facilities are also been attached with the hospital. There are also medicine stores attached with the hospital.
Eligibility and Fee Structure
Students must be 17 years of age before the 31st December of the admission year. Candidates must achieve a minimum of 50% marks [i e., 40/40 in Biology and Physics, and 45/45 in Chemistry, Physics, Biology and English] in the higher secondary examination and have NEET qualified for entry into the undergraduate medical program. It is compulsory for students to have English at senior secondary examination. Out of the total admissions, 85% of the students are admitted through CBSE-NEET and CET whereas 15% of seats are kept reserved for foreign nationals including NRI seats. The annual fee of the MBBS course is Rs. 15,00,000. In addition to these, students are also required to pay accommodation fees.
