Raja Rajeswari Medical College&Hospital( Bangalore, Karnataka)was commissioned in 2005 with the aim of offering quality teaching institutions, research and training facilities to emerging medical community. The institution is a constituent college of the 1992-registered Moogambigai Charitable Education Trust. The aim of the inception of the medical institute and hospital was a provision of quality and low cost professional medical educational and health treatment services. Different medical degree and diploma courses are understood to be offered by the National Medical Commission i.e., NMC. It is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Passing candidates are given medical degrees and diplomas of NMC and RGUHS. The college-affiliated hospital is offering whole-rounded health care to the economically downtrodden. The institution has earned high accolades from NAAC and Disaster Management (NABH), as well as ISO 9001-2008 certified institute.
Admission Procedure of the Medical College
The college is well-known for its international standards-comparable courses and specializations in Medicine, Surgery, Cardiological, Urological, Ophthalmological, Dermatological, Pathological, ENT, Pediatric etc. Admission to the 5.5 years’ MBBS course, including one year compulsory Rotatory Internship, in the case of undergraduate records is considered as the base. One must secure at least 50% marks in Biology, Chemistry and Physics and English in the higher secondary examination apart from being NEET Qualified, for admission in undergraduate medical courses. The minimum age of a student must be 17 years old by December 31 st of the MBBS academic year. The examination of Pre-University Course and eligibility certificate for admission to the RTC must be accepted by RGUHS. Transfer from one College of Medicine to another is otherwise not allowed and is solely at the discretion of NMC, in exceptional circumstances.
