School of Medical Sciences and Research (commonly known as Sharda Medical College) is accredited by the National Medical Commission and is established in 2009.The college is situated at Noida and is affiliated with Sharda University. This institution is able to offer MBBS and MD to the students’ on a vast area of subjects. It is also possible for students to pursue the pathway of a doctoral qualification following completion of their Master’s title. Along with an excellent faculty and advanced research, this college also has a 500 bedded hospital attached to it.
Fully Equipped Hospital
The hospital is equipped with advanced and sophisticated equipment, and modern facilities, to provide comprehensive treatment to patients. It conforms to the principle known as Golden Hour, and handles critically ill and wounded patients and has 24/7 Emergency and Trauma Care Center, 50 bedded ICU, NICU, PICU and five operation theatres. On top of that, the hospital, in addition, offers 24 hours ambulance service with the facilities of life support. The contents of these courses are such that these didactic courses are made possible with experimental learning. Indian Medical Association conferred Excellence in Medical Education to the medical school in 2013.
Requirement for these Courses
Senior secondary examination passed candidates (or their equivalent with the recognition of a board, and so on) are permitted to take MBBS and BDS course. Candidates are required to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English in the higher secondary examination and NEET qualified to get admission in the undergraduate medical course. The minimum age for students to enroll in the courses is 17 years. Students at Master’s degree have to finish the undergraduate course in any of the accredited universities.
Cost of these Courses
The duration of the undergraduate courses is five and half years and the cost is of the order of Rs. 11,30,000 per year. The college also has seats for international students. The college library is well-equipped with the comprehensive collection of books, reference materials, technical literature, audio-visual presentations, online databases and the resources are adequate for the requirements of the students. Classrooms are equipped to handle debates, lectures, and presentations and work in smaller groups. Multimedia are also applied to classroom teaching to enhance the learning experience of students.

On the campus of the university, there are segregated dormitories for the girls and boys. A hostel is dedicated solely to accommodate international students. Cafeteria facilities are placed in a way that is easily accessible for the students.
